Devour it Catering started in 2007 and has grown into one of Melbourne’s most dedicated corporate and event caterers. Conceived and managed by Catherine who has a background in cafes, wholesale catering management and time at The Big Group, Devour it Catering is a labour of love, and it shows in the food. It’s amazing that not only do we get to live in one of the world’s most vibrant cities, we also are honored to be able to contribute to the ever evolving landscape that is the world famous Melbourne food and hospitality scene.
For us its all about the food. From constantly improving our service and products to developing new menus and using the latest ingredients we simply love what we do.
Staff
We have a dedicated team of passionate staff who come from diverse backgrounds, including high volume production in the mines, pastry section in 5 star international hotels, film set catering and high tea catering at the Windsor. Alessandra our head chef is a hands-on guide and mentor, always ensuring that our team produce the very best each and every day. Craig and the delivery team know the streets of Melbourne like the back of their hands, and have an impeccable record of on-time deliveries. Dom and the function staff are passionate about making sure each event, large or small, is professional, personalized, and memorable.
Events & Functions
We not only understand food but also events and meetings. Successfully planning and executing large scale events takes great care and preparation. Melbourne is Australia event capital and Devour It have worked on every event type from a small meeting to an intimate cocktail function for 25 guests together with the Prime Minister of Australia, birthday parties, special events, product launches to an Australia Day family BBQ for more than 1200 guests.
Wholesale Catering
We have been providing wholesale solutions for cafes, delis, foodstores and venues from the very beginning. We are proud to be the supplier of meals and snacks for Jetstar airlines cabin crew and pilots. Devour it are the primary caterers at Uni Hill Conference Centre in Bundoora. Other notable clients we have supplied include the MCG (pakoras for the Ashes cricket test), Rex Airlines (business class meals) and the Spirit of Tasmania (staff meals for the last 9 years).
Our Environment
We take our environmental responsibility very seriously and use landfill biodegradable plastics. We have replaced garbage bin liners, cling wrap and rubber gloves with biodegradable plastics. We use compostable packaging, and have sourced sustainable palm leaf platters for our warm deliveries. Devour It Catering is determined to be the industry leader in reducing and eventually eliminating the need for one use plastics.
